Elder Mountain Estate Landscaping: A Grand Design in Chattanooga, TN

Perched high above Chattanooga on Elder Mountain, this grand estate boasts breathtaking views of the Tennessee River and rolling hills. As a newly constructed property, it presented a blank canvas for our landscape designer to create a truly exceptional outdoor environment.

Our primary goal was to create a landscape that complemented the grandeur of the estate. This involved establishing evergreen structure, strategically placing mature trees along the long, winding driveway, and creating masses of white blooming trees, shrubs, and perennials. The stark white painted brick of the home called for a clean, simple, and elegant plant palette.

A Symphony in White: Elegant Plant Choices

To achieve a timeless and sophisticated look, we selected a variety of white-blooming plants. “Schip” Laurel and Boxwood hedging provide a classic, formal structure. For flower power and added formality, we incorporated “Annabelle” and “Limelight” hydrangeas, as well as other panicle hydrangeas in tree form. To anchor the building and create a sense of balance, we planted “Little Gem” Magnolias, which will grow to a majestic height in the years to come.
